Google Goggles – A new way to search the web!
On Monday Google released it’s new product “Google Goggles”; the new way to search on the web. Google has decided to reinvent how all search the internet; rather than the traditional text search or the newer sound search (as released on iPhone), Google aims to release the first ever image search.
Instead of typing text as your search term, you can just take a picture of any item, a book, cd cover or even a business card and upload it into your search. Google will then find all the search terms that correspond to that item. You can even take a picture of text and Google will recognize the text and use it in the search. One has to say, this is amazing!
“Google Goggles” will only be available to Android users but Google has confirmed that they do plan to roll it out to other platforms.
For now though, if you have an Android phone that has a webcam, you can already try out the beta release here.
Happy Goggling!

Ok, Google’s been keeping their development teams busy :O
How many product releases in the last 2 years!? This is good though. I just see Google becoming more and more dominant. It seems like players like Microsoft have taken the back seat on the internet arena. Good stuff though Google, just hope this new search thing works
