Acer Chrome OS Device Rumours – AGAIN

Rumours are rife once more regarding Acer’s perceived intentions of releasing  a Chrome OS powered device soon. Previous rumours eluded to a possible showcasing of a number of Chrome OS devices at Computex in June but Acer quickly poured could water over these in a recent press release.

Well today we are hearing rumours from Taiwan that the Netbook maker is possibly working on a Chrome OS Tablet device. This comes after a document was released showing that Acer has forgone Windows 7 for it’s upcoming Tablet for an unknown OS running on an arm processor (Chrome OS’s processor of choice) . Tablet PC Review Reports:

Acer decided to forgo Microsoft Windows in favor of the Chrome OS in order to reduce the price of this upcoming tablet. It will reportedly sell for around NT$10,000 – about US$310 or €250.

The product is supposedly be produced by Quanta Computer, and will hit the market around the end of this month.
