Yesterday Engadget released a more complete list of the pricing details for the Samsung Series 5 and the Acer Chromebook devices in their various flavours. Each device comes in either wi-fi only or 3g and wi-fi versions. The Samsung Series 5 will come in two colours; white and black.
Alas! Chrome Notebooks have finally made their long awaited debut! Yesterday Engadget got the chance to play with the Samsung Series 5 Chrome Notebook just after the Google I/O event. They shot a nice hands-on video that I think most of you apiring ‘chromies’ will enjoy.

It seems that Amazon has been quick on the ball and has begun prepping it’s store front for the impending release of the Samsung Series 5 and the Acer Chromebook devices. It is not clear if Amazon will be accepting pre-orders in the near future but all that is certain is that both notebooks will be shipping on the 15th of June onwards.
In all the excitment about Chrome Notebooks, very few have focussed on the possibility of Google pushing Chrome OS to the desktop. Today Google Unveiled the Acer Chromebook during the Google I/O developer conference in California. This device was showcased alongside the Samsung Series 5 Chrome Notebook. Both will go on sale on June 15th. Initially you will only be able to grab one of these from Best Buy or Amazon in the USA.

Yes! Google has announced two new netbooks from Samsung and Acer . These will be the first to market and will begin selling in June this year. Best Buy and Amazon will begin selling these devices online on the 15th of June.
It has just been announced at the I/O event (which is currently going on) that google has partnered with Rovio to bring the popular Angry Birds game to the Chrome Web Store. The App was built using webGL and it also supports Canvas. The game will also come in full HD on for users who have hardware acceleration in their browser!
Google has just announced that the Chrome Web Store has been a success thus far since it’s initial launch. Speaking just a few minutes ago, Google Product manager mentioned that since the launch of the Web Store, Google can report that users are now spending twice as much in App within the USA.
