Chrome OS Devices Codenamed ‘Mario’ & ‘Andretti’?
It seems like news is beginning to pick up regarding Google’s upcoming Chrome OS. Over the last week there have been rumours that over 75,000 Chrome OS netbooks are already being produced in Taiwan and will be launched by year end. Well, it seems like at least two of the devices may have already been identified.

It seems like the rumoured Google branded netbooks (speedbooks) are most probably real and are already being manufactured. This is news coming in from Engadget which seems to give credence to recent reports from Digitimes which suggest that Chrome OS netbooks are already rolling off the production lines.

3 Comments Nexus Two – Signs Of Whats to Come?
Google has been working on Nexus two alongside it’s partner, Samsung for the last few months. This has been revealed by a number of leaks in the last few weeks. It is even claimed that this successor to the Nexus One will be released in a couple of weeks if not days. Some reports have pointed out to a November 11 release (tomorrow) but this is yet to be confirmed.

6 Comments Chrome OS Netbook Rumours Resurface – False Again?
Over the last few months we’ve had rumours and leaks about the possible release of Chrome OS tablets and netbooks. It’s not too long ago since the last rumour which claimed that a Chrome OS device (by Acer) would be showcased at Computex in Taipei (2010); nothing came of that. Murmurings about a potential Chrome OS tablet were also quashed by Google earlier on this year. They went as far as saying that they had no short term plans of releasing such a device at all.

Like many millions around the world, I watched the launch of the new MacBook Air with interest. Unlike most, I was more interested in the possible impact the new Air may have on the netbook market and more-so; on the upcoming Chrome OS netbooks. In most parts the Air failed to disappoint…well, apart from the exorbitant pricing (which we have come to expect).
