Samsung/Acer Chrome Notebooks – Full Pricing List

Yesterday Engadget released a more complete list of the pricing details for the Samsung Series 5 and the Acer Chromebook devices in their various flavours. Each device comes in either wi-fi only or 3g and wi-fi versions. The Samsung Series 5 will come in two colours; white and black.

Chrome Browser Hits 160 million Users!

The Tuesday session of Google I/O 2011 is underway and Google is gloating in the success of Chrome (Browser). According to Sundar Pichai (Product VP) the browser has now hit over 160 million active users. This is more that double the growth since Google I/O 2011 when the browser was at 70 million active users.

Google To Announce Chrome OS/Notebooks Today!

It’s the moment we’ve all been waiting for; Google will announce their $20 per month Chrome Notebook subscription service later on today. Alongside, a number of Chrome Notebooks will either be announced or showcased. It is now more than certain that Samsung will make a showing with their much talked about ‘ZGB’ and ‘Alex’ notebooks. Google is also set to announce the final timeline of Chrome OS’ release whcih will likely see Chrome Notebooks going on sale as early as June this year.

How To Follow The Google I/O (2011) Events

Google I/O 2011 promises to be big this year. Thousands of delegates will cpnverge on the Google Campus in California for a 2 day event starting tomorrow and ending on Wednesday. For us, this is an exciting time as it is widely expected that this year’s event will be the launchpad of Chrome OS.

Samsung’s Chrome OS Event – May 11th

Yes, you read correctly. Details are coming in that Samsung have sent out an invite to journalists for an event Which will kick off just after Google’s I/O developer conference in California (which begins on May 10th). Samsung’s event will be taking place on Wednesday the 11th.

A Hefty Update For Chrome OS

Samsung’s Upcoming Chrome Notebook Spotted

News just coming in shows that Samsung has been secretly working on a Chrome OS powered notebook for some time. This was reveled in a recently released bug report by the Chrome Team who were testing the device. A few days ago we revealed news about the discovery of the Acer ‘ZGB’ Chrome Notebook (in Chromium bug reports) and already we have another device to look forward to.

The Coming ‘Acer ZGB’ Chrome Notebook?

Details seem to have leaked out about a possible Acer netbook which is currently being bug tested with Chrome OS. According to Macles, this device appeared in the Chrome bug reports and was quickly taken down by Google a few months ago when speculation became rife.

The Ipad Has Killed The Netbook – For Now

Chrome OS Netbooks Coming Soon: $10-$20 per month?
